Dawn's Cottage on airBnB
When you just must get away from it all, come stay with us. Sit on the front porch and watch the light change on the Bean Creek Preserve across the street. No TV, no phone, most cell phones don't work in Greeley Hill, very little traffic, and great stars at night. If you feel the need for company, you can hang out with Jim or Dawn and talk about art, literature, music, theater, or popular culture. Share your stories, we're great listeners!

This rustic 750 square foot two bedroom cottage features a full kitchen with small refrigerator, gas stove, and coffee station. Green-washed knotty pine walls throughout the cottage add to the ambiance. Our rate is $119 a night. For availability click the link to AirBnB, email us at jimleitz@gmail.com or phone 209 878-0935.

The front room with its books and rustic furniture makes a perfect artist's or writer's retreat. It's quiet, comfortable and lodgy.

Right in the middle of upgrading the front porch railings it snowed! Brr!

The bedroom features a queen sized bed. Cozy, with books, of course. The view out the window is very rural.

Yosemite is just around the corner!

And, of course, we're only 25 miles from the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park! A leisurely drive of about 45 minutes gets you there, and there are majestic mountains and scenic overlooks along the way. Then, once you get to the valley floor, there's El Capitan, Cathedral Rocks, Bridal Veil and Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome to see. Take a walk through Ahwahnee Lodge, hike up to Vernal Falls, or catch the sublime view from Glacier Point.

The high country around Tuolumne Meadows is a hiker's paradise. Back country trails wander through pristine meadows filled with wild flowers. Or gaze at the towering Giant Sequoias in Tuolumne, Mariposa, or Merced Grove. Take a ranger-led nature hike, or relax to the sound of the Merced River as it flows by Happy Isles. There are so many things to do in Yosemite, and it all starts 25 miles away.
